New Blog...

It's late and I've been on the computer for a while, so I am making this quick. ;)
If you've been keeping up with the blog, you have realized that I have become quite obsessed (I mean passionate) haha sounds better right? with photography!
So I have turned my little EXPENSIVE hobby, into a business... Linds is helping me out by being my official photo critic, for which I am very thankful.... that's not to say that she is in any way responsible for any bad shots!! Any good you see there, you can thank her for, and the bad stuff.. well that'll be all me and my learning process!
Having said all that, I know there is no way I am going to be good at keeping up with 2 blogs... at least not right now, so I will use my new blog for both business and personal updates. Don't worry there will still be plenty of "Peanut" updates!!

So come join me at my new Blog Home.

Love you all!

Mexico Trip #2

So now that things have slowed down after the holidays, I have gone back through my Mexico pictures...

One of our days down there we went on an excursion to Chichen-Itza (mayan ruins). THey are such an amazing sight to see... I won't write much about them, but they sure have fascinating history, I'll just share an interesting and very cool thing about the ruins... THere are 2 main areas, the "pyramid" and the stadium, the mayans had such an understanding of math and sound waves, etc. that the stadium was build in such a way that you can stand right in the middle and clap and get a nice loud and crisp echo... very cool, but you may think ha, not that impressive! Well, you can also stand right in front and center of the "pyramid" and clap and the echo you hear is not a "clap" sound, but rather sounds like a bird chirping... yes, and not like "oh if you use your imagination you can see how you would say that" no! It is a very distinct bird sounds... don't believe me? fine, you will just have to go and check it out for yourself. ha!! anyway, here are the pictures.
The sky was just amazing that day, perfect for pictures!

After Chichen-Itza, we went to a sink hole it was beautiful and the pictures just don't come close to doing it justice. We had to go down a long set of steps before getting to where you could jump into the water and then the water was over 150 feet deep! It was pretty cool, the water was so clear yet it looks totally dark because of how deep it is. They said the water was about 75 degrees... I don't personally think it was that cold, but it was definitely worth jumping in. Looking up from the middle of the sink hole up to the hanging roots was just indescribably beautiful.

Not so good day

Christina and I were out last week taking some pictures... it was a last minute kind of thing, she wanted to catch the sunset, so we went up to prayer mountain but didn't quite make it in time! I think she actually got one or two good ones. I on the other hand did not, Vaughn was having a rough day ( I think he was just tired) so he was wanting to be held a lot! He would play for a little while and then he would come back wanting to be held; so no, I didn't get a picture of the sunset. I did however, get this picture of Vaughn right before picking him up on one of his -pick me up, put me down- sequences.

I know for all you "child must smile in photos" kind of people this may not be a "favorite." But this is part of what it is like to have a 20 month old and I love it all ... of course the smiles are better than the crying, but I like to capture these faces too. Who knows maybe when he is a teenager and thinks it's embarrassing to be hugged by mom, I can remind him he used to beg to be in my arms ha ha..

Afternoon at the Playground

This afternoon Vaughn and I walked over to the playground down the street... While I am not a fan of the 70-80 degree weather in January, it was nice to be able to take Vaughn out, he loves that playground!

Here are a few pictures... he is getting so big, he climbed up all the way to the top slide all by himself!! We were there for about 45 min and he must have been up there at least 20 times. He also was enjoying playing with the dirt a little too much!!

right before we left he saw a plane flying by and kept pointing at it... he is fascinated by all transportation devices! ha ha!

Hope you enjoyed, have a good weekend!!
